Dear members:
Our next association meeting is scheduled for this coming Saturday, June 13th at 10:00am. After speaking with Jill at Kasoag Lake Restaurant & Bar, I decided that plans would have to change. Jill stated we could have the meeting on the grass, as it stands now she cannot have a “gathering” under her side deck because it is a permanent structure. Our Governor may lift that restriction at midnight on June 12th, much too late to set-up a meeting.
Gary Hyatt has offered his large garage for Saturday for us to use. Considering the fines that either Jill, Gary or the association would incur if we have the meeting I have decided to cancel the meeting this Saturday. The temperature Saturday morning looks to be in the low 50’s with rain which will not be comfortable to have a meeting on the grass. I would like to re-schedule the association meeting for the next weekend, Saturday, June 20th at 10:00 at Jill’s. Which brings us to another situation; it is Father’s Day weekend. Happy Father’s Day to all you Dads. This date may cause a conflict with families but my hope is the Dad’s want to be a camp that weekend. I am sorry for all the changes this season has brought about, I’m trying to stay within the guidelines and respect the restrictions due to COVID-19 has put forth. As by law or as you feel comfortable with masks can be worn and we will keep social distancing.
I am looking for a volunteer this year to run the 50/50 at our association meetings. If interested or willing, please get in touch with me.
Both of our EFS students were visiting the lake this past Saturday, great kids…they took a tour around the lake as Mark was their guide. Many members came out to welcome them and offer canoes or kayaks for them to use. Thank-you.
Just a reminder our weed treatment weather permitting will be June 23rd.
If you have any questions feel free to call or email me.
Thanking you in advance for your understanding.
Respectfully,
Mary Augustus, KLCA President
