Hi Members,
Just an update on the July’s meeting, last Saturday. We had a nice turn out and the picnic was delicious with the dishes to pass. A special thanks to everyone that cooked, set-up auction, sold ducks & 50/50 tickets and of course all that helped clean-up.
Our EFS student were both present and were introduced to the members. They are both working on their individual projects and it will be interesting to see the end reports.
There will be the replacement of boards on the dam in the next couple of weeks.
Muck pellets were given to the 4 volunteers for the testing study. I have extra bags for sale if anyone is interested. A-Tip Control that did our treatment this year has a distributor of muck pellets that I purchased these from. This company only deals with lakes and has a direct lab that works with them to develop the pellets. I called and spoke with the Vice-President; he was extremely helpful and answered all my questions.
There was a Motion made to name the upcoming golf tournament, The Joan Longley Memorial Golf Tournament as fitting for a lady who gave so much to Kasoag Lake. Please contact Tom Neave or Andy Armstrong if interested in participating in the tournament.
There will be a lighted boat parade hosted by Terry & Tad on July 25th. Bring a snack to pass, put some lights on your boats and take a stroll through the lake at dusk.
Tom Neave is currently working on setting-up a Pay Pal account on our website. With this in place donations from outside the membership can be given and annual Lake due will be able to be paid by members.
Our next meeting will be August 8, 2020 @ 10:00am with a Duck Race on Shingle Mill Creek to follow the meeting. Hots dogs, Chili, dessert, and beverages will be served after the race at Tom & Jen Neave’s camp. The Annual George Henry Fishing Derby will be held Sunday August 16, 2020. Registration will open at 7:00am. Anyone wanting to donate items as gifts for the participates can drop it off to Dennis Hartmann or at my camp.
If you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to call or text me at 315-283-3477.
Take care & stay safe,
Mary Augustus, President
