Dear Members,
Get to know your candidates: Here are short Bios on the nominates running for election on August 7th for the Lake Association.
Hello! My name is Lynne Belokopitsky. My husband Nick and I moved to Kasoag Lake one year ago and live here full time. Our home is at 17 Smith Lane, on Third Lake. We have 5 grown kids, 3 in the Albany area, one in nearby Phoenix and one in Ohio.
I retired five years ago from the New York State Tax Department. In my 32-year career, I worked my way up from an entry-level job to an executive level position as Director of Personal Income Tax Processing, dealing with legal, technical and operational issues. I loved my job and it was very rewarding to serve the citizens of New York State.
When we retired, we sold our home in Saratoga Springs NY, got rid of all of our household stuff, and traveled to Mexico, Europe and all over the USA for four years with two suitcases each and our Australian Cattle Dog, Bella. When the pandemic hit, we decided to find a place to call home. We definitely wanted to find a lake home and found this one just 40 minutes away from our newest grand-baby, so here we are!
Gordon P. Hyatt is a 1979 graduate of the University of Georgia, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture. A former principal of East Syracuse-based Klepper, Hahn & Hyatt, he currently works at the firm part-time as a landscape architect. Gordon enjoys a variety of hobbies including fishing, painting (watercolor) , and snowmobiling, ATVing at our camp on Kasoag Lake. Gordon and his wife, Cindy, reside in Jamesville, NY. The couple has two grown sons, also local, and three grandchildren ages 13, 11, and 6 months.
Linda and her husband Bill Barzee are enjoying their 6th season at the Lake. Bill had also spent his teen years on the Lake and was a resident of Williamstown. The couple lives in Cicero and have a camp on Adrian Lane. Linda graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work degree and is retired from Onondaga County where she assisted youth in Juvenile Justice at Hillbrook Detention Center. Linda and her husband have four children and four grandchildren. Linda has enjoyed serving as a member on the Board and as interim secretary for the Association. She now looks forward to running for the position as Treasurer.

We’ve been staying summers at our camp on 4th Lake here at Kasoag for 4 years. We have a home on a little lake in Land 0 Lakes, Florida for winters. I’m a Hair Stylist & Esthetician. I have my own business traveling doing hair & selling natural skincare. I was in the USAF and have been active throughout the years volunteering with several Veteran’s agencies.
I love kayaking on Kasoag Lake.
Hi everyone
My name is Mark Augustus…most of you know me, I’m the cute guy at 29 Smith Lane. I was the former President of the Lake Association and held that position for 4 years and loved every minute of
my term.
Just to let you know, Mary asked me a week ago to write a bio, I forgot (no news there). So, in short Mary wrote this!
Take care,
Mary Augustus, President
