September 11, 2021
Meeting called to order by President Mary Augustus at 10:11 AM at the Kasoag Lake Tavern

Treasurer’s report read by Treasurer Linda Barzee. Funds balance $11,335.38. Accepted by Joe Maier. Seconded by Andy Armstrong.
Meeting minutes will not be read at future meetings. They’ll be posted on the KLCA website and printed copies will be available at the meeting where the motion to accept is made.
KLCA Little Library Is up and running. Contact Lynne Belokopitsky if you have donations. Thank you Gordan and Andy for getting the library up and running.
Brian Clark is trapping beavers for people on the Lake who obtain a Nuisance Beaver Permit. Permits can be obtained by contacting the Department of Environmental Conservation or the Williamstown Town Supervisor. If you need help with nuisance beavers or the permitting process, contact Mary Augustus or George Stowers.
The Can and Bottle Drive raised over $1,000. Thank you to Andy Armstrong for coming up with this idea. Cans will be collected at Bobbi’s until close of business today.
The Golf Tournament is September 25. There is no rain date. There are 9 sponsored holes. Today is the last day to sponsor a hole, so please see Mary if you wish to be a sponsor. There is an after-tournament take-out chicken dinner at the Kasoag Lake Tavern. You don’t have to golf to get a take-out meal. Let Mary or Andy know if you want one.
Mark Augustus will pursue grant money in the coming months. If we don’t have enough funds for a full treatment, the acreage of the treatment will have to be reduced. We need $5,000 more than our current balance to cover the 2021 treatment. Additional funds are required to cover other required expenses (insurance, treatment related mailings).
The Annual Volunteer Dinner is being replaced by a Fall Festival that will be open to all. This event will be held outdoors (weather permitting) at the Kasoag Lake Tavern on October 2 from 1— 3 PM. There will be games and pumpkin painting for kids. Participants are asked to bring chili, cornbread, pumpkin pie or other fall themed items to share.
Mary Augustus asked for input from the membership on ways to improve the Association and for fund raising ideas. There will be no Winter event this year. The Ice Out fundraiser seems to have run its course. We’re having trouble getting apparel from our supplier.
