Mark, our Lake Project Manager received a call from Matt Martin from Plumley Engineering. After 4 months of submissions and re-submissions, the DEC approved our sediment sampling plan for Shingle Mill Creek. On October 23, 2019, Matt came up to take the samples necessary to submit to a lab for testing and additional engineering work in order to satisfy the requirements of the DEC. It is estimated 10 day turn around to get the results from the samples. If it is reported that there is nothing toxic/harmful; Mark can proceed with additional work too in order to move forward in our Hydro raking.
Please keep all fingers crossed. I will keep you updated as we get the results. I am still looking for your favorite recipes for our KLCA Recipe Book. I need them by December 31st.
